How does AI connect with Provet Cloud?

Provet documents a REST API and webhooks. Its September 2026 MCP is read-only and available to Pro/Enterprise clinics with a paid AI-tool subscription; MCP does not write appointments or records. API access and OAuth setup require an approved route and clinic permissions, which we check with Provet support before proposing a pilot.
What we agree before connecting

What is Provet Cloud and what is it for?
Provet Cloud manages veterinary patients, consultations and appointments. We assess whether one administrative follow-up can use its existing records and reminders, or should stay outside the system with a clear handover to reception.

Cloud connection with Provet Cloud
A Provet webhook can signal that an appointment changed; an authorised REST request would fetch only the data the agreed follow-up needs. The clinic's permissions, OAuth access and avoidance of duplicate reminders are tested first.
Provet Cloud + ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Codex & MCP
Provet's own read-only MCP may allow eligible clinic users to ask permitted questions in supported AI tools. That is different from a tested EBROTECH workflow and cannot update appointments. Any reminder email is a draft for staff to review and send.

When NOT to connect with Provet Cloud?
If the clinic already handles this follow-up in Provet, do not build another reminder stream. MCP alone is not a route to write patient records; clinical decisions stay with the veterinary team.
Frequently asked questions about Provet Cloud
Can Provet MCP run the follow-up for us?
No. Provet describes MCP as read-only, on Pro/Enterprise with a paid AI-tool subscription and existing user permissions. It can help inspect authorised information, but writing a record needs a separately approved and tested route.
Would a new reminder repeat one already in Provet?
We map existing clinic reminders and their owners first. A pilot focuses on an actual gap and stops or hands over whenever an existing reminder already covers the patient.
Do I have to move off Provet Cloud?
A move is not assumed. The written scope states whether Provet Cloud remains the system of record, which minimum data is used and which steps remain manual. If the connection is not validated, it is not presented as integrated.
What can AI do with Provet Cloud?
It can support reception, appointment and non-clinical reminder tasks within the tested workflow. Automation is limited to administrative work: it does not triage, diagnose or recommend treatment. Urgent and clinical decisions go to a person. Emails remain drafts for a person to review and click Send.
What will my team receive?
At the end of the pilot, your team receives the agreed Provet Cloud workflow, access and review instructions, the tests performed, a record of known exceptions and the named person responsible for maintenance. Acceptance is checked against the written scope, and delivery is limited to the capabilities validated in that pilot.
